Here are 4 new picks of interesting anime that I plan on watching weekly this Fall, I tried to pick 4 interesting ones across 4 genres I really like. All of these start airing mid-October, for more details and other anime airing the fall season, check out this website.
Touken Ranbu
(Fantasy)
It’s ufotable and I loved their earlier works, the poster art looks nice so I don’t need anything more to convince me
Trickster
(Mystery)
This seems to be the most anticipated anime this season, with a good-looking cast, nice art direction and Gackt doing the themesong and main character voice. Mystery’s my favorite genre and I love it when it’s coupled with more darker anime like Darker Than Black, Pyscho Pass and seemingly Trickster. Check out the trailer below:
Yuri on Ice
(Sports)
This show looks beautiful and ice skating is a cool theme for a seemingly more mature sports anime. It’s form the same studio who brought Zankyou no Terror and a director (Saya Yamamoto) who has been involved in animes such as Attack on Titan, Ergo Proxy and Death Note
Udon no Kuni no Kiniro Kemari
(Slice of Life)
This immediately reminded me of Barakamon, it seems charmingly slice of life with a special art direction.
Others
I’m really excited for the second season of Bungou Stray Dogs. I loved the art direction and comedy of the first season, but the story felt short, but also didn’t conclude with the ending of the first season, I’m super excited to hear Mammo reprise his role as Dazai 😀
Another show that might be popular is Keijo, but I’m not a fan of overly ecchi stuff. I’m sure many will also be into the new seasons of Hibike Euphonium, Ajin and Natsume Yuujinchou, but I have yet to see or complete the first season of those, so I’ll be skipping them this season.
Jdrama
Nothing much that seems noteworthy, my favorite actor, Yamada Ryosuke is starring in Cain and Abel, it looks weird but I’ll give it a try. I might pick up an older jdrama like Kaito Yamaneko along the way
